About us

Rail Infrastructure Consultants NZ Ltd (RIC) is a specialist rail consultancy with extensive New Zealand-specific rail experience. We focus on complimenting both client and multidisciplinary consultant teams to streamline the early phases of the project cycle.

Founded in 2012, RIC grew from experience gained by the team in key specialist roles on the Developing Auckland Rail Transport (DART) and Auckland Electrification Project (AEP) work programmes.

We now support KiwiRail, Auckland Transport, NZTA, and MOT with major strategic and CAPEX infrastructure projects such as the Auckland City Rail Link, Auckland Rail Development Programme, KiwiRail in Auckland and Wellington (W2QP, P2P, RS1, DEMU, iREX, Northland Rail), Auckland Light Rail, and Upper North Island Supply Chain Strategy.
